Grants and Support

Chinese Liberal Democrats have over the last decade given financial and other support to candidates of Chinese and SE Asian heritage to stand in local and Parliamentary elections. In addition to grants and donations paid to their local Libdem parties, we provide mentoring, training as well as campaigning support to prepare the candidates for selections and elections.

Should you be interested to become a candidate, please contact us for more information. Email info@chineselibdems.org.uk.

Dr George Lee PPC Westminster North

I was pleased to be adopted recently as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Westminster North. My journey to this point has been a long one. Through a career in business, the police, another party and all the way from Hong Kong, I have been emboldened to join the fight to demand better for our communities and country than this Tory-Labour mess.

Congratulations, first of all, to Cllr Helen Chuah who has been triumphantly re-elected as Councillor in St Ann's ward on Colchester Council. The LibDems came through strongly holding every seat and even winning one from the Tories. It was great to see Helen Chuah and Nick Cope hold their seats well in difficult circumstances (and Nick will be their Lib Dem Mayor for the coming year).
