Chinese Lib Dem member Anna Lo MBE MLA reports back
Anna Lo writes to her constituents in her Autumn report:
"..Over the last three years as your MLA, I hope I have proven to you that I work for everyone in the
South Belfast constituency regardless of community backgrounds - from the Markets to Belvoir - dealing
with the range of issues that affect your daily lives.
"In addition to fulfilling my role in the Committees for Employment and Learning, and Social Development,
I have been involved in many other social and economic matters including youth projects, older
people's initiatives, women's issues, planning reform, community relations, all of which enable me to keep
in touch with the different sectors of our community.
"The economic downturn and the cuts in public spending have impacted on all of us and I will do
my utmost in the Assembly to maintain a balance between efficiency savings and protecting front-line
services, particularly to the old and the vulnerable.
"If I can be of any assistance to you, please be assured my door is always open."
