Linda Chung and supporters celebrate byelection gain in Hampstead Town

Linda Chung was elected as the Liberal Democrat councillor for Hampstead Town on 25 September 2008. Linda won the seat from the Conservatives with a massive swing and overturned a Tory majority of 549 votes to secure her own majority of 128.

Liberal Democrat 1242 (44%)

Conservative 1114 (39%)

Labour 289 (10%)

Green 140 (5%)

BNP 29 (1%)
