Bill and Gary in Somerset

Cllr Gary Wong is standing for election in May 2022 with Bill Revans to be the Somerset Councillors for the North Petherton Division. Both are committed local councillors who live in the area and work hard to help people in our communities.

Gary has been a Sedgemoor District Councillor for three years. He lives in Wilstock with his wife and daughter. He has been successful in challenging Sedgemoor's approach to funding infrastructure in new communities leading to substantial investment in local facilities.

Gary is a medical doctor and Consultant Psychiatrist in our NHS, working on the frontline in the pandemic. He wants to campaign to improve our health and care facilities locally.

Here are 3 Priorities for the local area:

1 Health, care and wellbeing Support our local health, care and wellbeing by coordinating services and building a new modern health centre that will attract the staff we need to better look after all our residents in our communities.

2 Roads and transport Make our roads safer for all by taking action on speeding, bringing unadopted roads into the public highway network, improving maintenance, and building a reliable public transport system that works.

3 Schools and children Make sure there are enough school places for all our local families, by getting Wilstock school built and making sure that all our schools collaborate to be sustainable.
