Congratulations to Vice-Chair Merlene Emerson for securing the third place in the Lib Dem Greater London Authority List selections. The London Assembly is made up of 25 members based in City Hall who oversee the work of the London Mayor, currently Boris Johnson.

On the evening of 4 December, London Liberal Democrats held the first of their major fundraising events for the 2016 London Mayor and Assembly Campaign at a hotel ballroom in Kensington,
I was lucky enough to attend Lib Dem Refugee Action event which took place last month. The event was hosted by Baroness Sheehan and Save the Children, with invited speakers Ahmet and Hussan who escaped from the Syrian wars.
