The Membership Secretary of the Chinese Liberal Democrats, Philip Ling has been selected as the Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election for the area of Bromsgrove in North Worcestershire.
Celebrations don't have to end on the 2nd January. The Chinese Liberal Democrats will be welcoming in the Year of the Tiger, at a Chinese New Year Banquet on Wednesday 10 Feb 2009, at 7.00 pm in China Town, London.

On Sunday 17 January, representatives from various Chinese community grassroots organizations including Spectrum Radio congregated near the Stone Lions in the heart of Chinatown. Chinese Liberal Democrats Chair Linda Chung has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Hampstead Town ward on Camden Council. A by-election for the ward, caused by the resignation of a Tory Councillors, will be held on Thursday 25th September.

Described in the Economist as something of a 'coming-out party' after over a century of foreign colonisation, civil war and poverty, she is poised to show her return as a great world power.
